| :I certainly hope you mean that backwards. Torque is what moves the car and wouldnt you rather have it at 1500rpm instead waaaaaay up the powerband? I'd rather have it waaay up in the powerband because then you can use gearing to your advantage. If you had 2 cars, one with 500 ft lbs at 1500 rpm and the other with 500 ft lbs at 15,000 rpm, you could give the high revving car a 10:1 gear reduction and have it producing about 10 times the torque at the rear wheels as the lower revving car.
